I'm going to be turning this review to my language arts teacher :-). I get to do what I love and keep up my grade too!
Description on the back of the book:
Do not put this book down. I'm dead serious. Your life could depend on it. I'm risking everything by telling you but you need to know Max. Her full name is maximum ride, and the girl can fly.
Max's misson.
Protect the rest of her gang-fang, iggy, nudge, the gasman, and angel from a pack of half-wolf, half humans with a taste for flying humans.
Rescue angel from a crew of wach-job kidnappers
Infiltrate a secret facility to track down her firends missing parents
Get revenge on the one person she thought should trust
Discover the best chocolate chip cookie in NYC
Save the world for cyring out loud
Not necessarily in that order, of course
My review:
I really enjoyed this book a lot. It has a splash of everything to include action, comedy, fantasy, and mystery. There are a lot of different characters who all have different personalities. All these personalities shine and are show in great detail. Angel was my favorite character of course, because I would like to borrow her powers hehe. She could read minds and some other things that will be revealed later on in the book. Aside from her powers she's a very energetic girl kinda like me! I also really like that she was very brave when she needed to.
This book is called maximum ride for a very good reason. This ride will bring you upon a lot of twists and turns and you might feel like you have been turned upside down. In this action packed adventure you're gonna see Max the brave leader protect her flock from the many dangers she faces or should I say thrown at her. Max and her flock have been living in peace for 4 years after they escaped the "school" but now their on the run. Max has a lot to carry on her shoulders. Other than a pair of ange wings, she has 5 kids to look after on top of half wolf/half humans chasing after her.
I really liked how the author presented the book in like a puzzle style. I had so many questions and thoughts over things like who the parents were, why were they chosen, why were they getting chased after, and much more. Not all the questions were answered but that's why I gotta get my hands on that second book! I'm excited to continue this series and see where it goes.

Review on Gathering Blue
Book: Gathering Blue
Author: Lois Lowry
Rating: 3 1/2
This is the description on the back of the book:
Left orphaned and physically flawed in a civilization that shuns and discards the weak, Kira faces a frightengly uncertain future. Her neighbors are hostile. No one will help Kira but a small boy. When she is summoned to judgement by the council of guardians, Kira prepares to fight for her life. But the council, to her surprise, had plans for her. Blessed with an almost magical talent that keeps her alive, the young girl faces new responsibilities and a set of mysteries deep within the only world she has ever known. On her quest for truth, Kira discovers things that will change her life and the world forever.
My Review:
On Kira's journey of truth I came across some intersting characters. I like how the author described each character very well. She showed their different personalities and I got to know them better. The best thing I liked most about the whole book is not knowing what will happen next. There were a lot of twists and turns. I really get annoyed when books are predictable.
What I disliked in the book is the ending. It ended like there would be a sequel but there isn't one. Or is there one that I don't know about? I don't want to guess what happened or make up my own ending. I want a complete story!!
If it wasn't for that bad ending I would rate the book 5 stars. My rating is 3 1/2 stars. If you don't mind open endings and like mystery and dystopian books then this would be something you would like.
P.S My mom and I haven't figured out how to do rating thing but once we do i'll put it up.
